Wills, Probate and Estate

Wills, Probate and Estate

We'll help you through this difficult time

When a family member passes away, it's often a traumatic time that can add tension to family relationships. Unfortunately, if there is a Will dispute it can add to the strain. Conflicts can arise when your loved one hasn't made a Will, or when a family member wants to contest a Will. If you find yourself in a Will dispute or you simply want to make a Will yourself, we can help.

Our legal services also cover estate planning and probate.

Estate planning involves the organisation, management and control of your personal, family and business affairs. It can sometimes be covered with a simple Will, but often needs Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship. We can advise you based on your needs and circumstances.

Probate is the process of having a Will validated by the courts. When somebody dies without a legal Will, the law determines who receives the estate. We can take care of obtaining probate or letters of administration from the Supreme Court so that the assets and liabilities of your loved one can be dealt with.

Our Will, Probate and Estate services cover:

  • Wills
  • Enduring Powers of Attorneys
  • General or limited Powers of Attorney
  • Appointments of enduring guardians
  • Assistance with guardianship or administration appointments
  • Probate
  • Estate
  • Letters of administration
  • Contested Wills and estate disputes
  • Family Provision Act claims

If you're not sure how to make a Will, or would just like to get your affairs in order, we'll happily discuss your situation and provide you with some obligation free advice. We'll also arrange probate, letters of administration and estate planning on your behalf. To make the whole process even easier, we have fixed fees so you'll know up front what the cost of your service will be.
